Webinar #199 - Coloring!

COLORING!

alt

Mike Hanson

Presenter: Mike Hanson

Skinning!  This week, Mike Hanson will be showing us his "skinning" stuff!  It's a set of classes for defining a default color set, and allowing the creation and editing of new sets.  It applies the chosen set to a screen at runtime.

From Mike:

"In my case, it's not so much for "all screens" in your APPs, but rather specific screens that need to support recoloring.  For example, my casino stuff has various "Viewers" which are shown on big screen TVs in casinos.  Each casino wants to choose the colors to be used."

PLUS! John Hickey may be showing something he's been working on, perhaps!  Tune in to find out!

Additional Information:

Mike Hanson has been a fixture in the Clarion world for almost 25 years!  He quickly became known for solving other Clarion developers' problems, and he continues that goal today.  He created a set of public main models for Clarion 2.1 for DOS, which evolved into BoxSoft's Super Templates.  He's led breakout sessions at many Clarion DevCons, including the template section at the first Clarion Developer Certification Conference.  He's also written articles for every Clarion-related publication.

Mike spends most of his time consulting, extending and maintaining the Super Templates, and training programmers around the world.  His current focus is on Agile Development practices, test driven development, and creating optimal software solutions.

In his personal life, Mike stays busy with his wife, their two sons (6 and 4), their smooth collie and two cats.  In his little remaining spare time he practices guitar, listens to music, assembles electronic kits, and takes a few pictures here and there.  He dreams of having more spare time, which he would immediately fill with more hobbies.
